I have for sale 2 of my own cars. Prices are negotiable, but dont get silly.
1992 Dodge Stealth RT/TT- decent car but not perfect.Red w/ grey interior, body is in OK shape but does need some TLC. Paint will buff right up. The engine has maybe 5k miles on it, all new parts including WP, T-belt, pistons, forged crank,ARP rod bolts, etc. but it DOES need a rebuild. The story behind the engine is that I had rebuilt the engine and it was working perfect, then I drove it to Tennessee for Xmas. I had too much base timing in the car and beat a rod bearing to death. My guess is that the crank is now ruined and it needs at least one rod, but no way to know until the engine is pulled out. Everything works except AC, tstock 9b turbos spool just fine and car does not smoke at all. Transmission shifts fine(which is good since Mitsu discontinued the parts for them), and the car drives just fine.Clutch is a newer Exedy unit.
Asking 3500obo as is, or 6000obo with the engine rebuilt with a new crank kit.
88 Mazda RX7 Convertible- This car is for sale a few places. I bought this car intending for my wife to drive it but that hasnt happened at all, so I bought an EVO so now is the time for this thing to go away. It is black w/ blue interior.
The Good:
Motor runs excellent and pulls good, does smoke at startup but its not nearly as bad as my 88 base.Does not overheat or display any other bad habits.
New clutch, maybe 400 miles on it
Top and almost everything else works exactly as it should
Pioneer door speakers, pretty new.
Has the BBS wheels, cap tool, etc
New battery
New plugs
The Bad:
The interior is worn and IMHO could use some work. Its not as bad as most cars in this age range but lets not kid ourselves as to its age.
No radio in the car and the harness has been the victim of many stereo enthusiasts, I am sure it can be sorted out but I honestly havent cared enough
The effin power mirrors dont work, and for some reason the pass window wont work either. I havent had time to chase these two issues down, but I am sure its something very simple
Passenger mirror is missing- I attempted to get a new one on rx7club.com but they are a bunch of flakes and I never managed to get one.
Carpet trim on the drivers door panel is missing, looks like they were thinking about re-doing it at some point
Pass side fender is in black primer
The transmission sounds horrible, which I honestly believe is due to the PO driving the car until there was literally no clutch lining left and shifter bushings that were absolutely GONE. It does however shift fine and seems to work perfectly. I DO have a spare that I will make a deal with the purchaser of the car on.
Both front tires need replacing.
I just loaned the car to a customer for a week or so and he had absolutely no issues with it at all, and actually felt the clutch was better than the one in his MK3.
